PANJA
Panja weaving is a big part of India's illustrious weaving tradition. A metallic claw-like fork called Panja is used for beating the yarns to get weft yarns interlaced with warp yarns.
FRAMELOOM
A frame loom is a weaving device where you apply the warp directly to the frame without the use of a warping board, mill, or peg first. The warp is generally hand manipulated during the weaving process either by manual weaving (with a tapestry needle) or through the use of shed tools.
HAND TUFTING
Tufting is a process of punching strands of yarn on a canvas stretched on a frame by artisans. A craftsman begins the process by creating a background with a pattern on canvas. Thereafter, a tufting gun is used to inject yarn into it.
PITLOOM
'Pit Loom' is a loom installed in a pit where the artisan creates rugs through the use of pedals. Normally, the base of the pit loom rug is stronger than a handloom rug & can go without using latex.
HAND KNOTTING
A Hand-knotted rug is made entirely by hand on a vertical loom. Hand-knotting is a incredible special 2,000 year old craft of weaving that requires remarkable precision, patience and delicate craftsmanship
